Our Australian host families are eager to welcome you into their home. Families are rigorously screened. They come from different backgrounds and places, which means your student exchange in Australia will be unique.
Australian family life
Most Australian host families, though not all, live in houses with yards or gardens, and they love to spend time outdoors. You might experience your first Australian barbecue during your first night with your host family, and over time, you might learn to master the grill yourself.
Learning about Australian traditions
Your Australian host family will be just as curious about your country as you are about their country. As part of the household, you will participate in family celebrations, birthday parties and other fun events. You should also help out with small household responsibilities, such as setting the table, keeping your room tidy or helping with the dishes.
